United Soccer Leagues — A Fine Footballing Life
After Everton, Heath would be on the move for the rest of his playing career, joining up with Kendall again when he made his move into coaching as an assistant and player for Sheffield United. Short spells in charge of another former club Burnley and the Blades didn’t offer much chance for him to show what he could be capable of. Neither did two spells as caretaker manager at Coventry. It was during his time with the Sky Blues that Heath began to look west, towards the United States.
Really nice, long piece on our own Austin Aztex head coach, Adrian Heath. Read it all.

“Obviously I’m very pleased to get it all sorted out,” Heath said. “We worked very hard over the last few months to move the club forward and we will hopefully continue that in the next few years to make it bigger, stronger and even better.”
“I’m delighted that Adrian has committed to three more years and am very much looking forward to working with him to take the club to the next level,” Aztex President and Owner Phil Rawlins said. “I think he’s doing an outstanding job in 2010 and I can’t wait to see what’s in store in the years to come.”
This is great news. Heath brings a lot to the Aztex: his fame and pedigree; his approachability for fans; his charm in interviews and on the weekly Aztex Coach’s Show (AM-1300 “The Zone”, Tuesdays at 6:30PM). And oh yeah, he seems to be a good coach, too.
